This was the sixth book that I have designed for Dulwich Picture Gallery’s much praised exhibition in 2009. Sickert, whose work is most often associated with images of London, painted these works when he lived in Venice between 1895 and 1903. The author is curator of Modern British Art at Tate Britain.
